The submission deadline for the 2009 internships has now passed. OFEF will be reviewing all qualified applicants thoroughly during the months of April and May. We want to thank everyone for their time and the number of packets we recieved this past year. We have no doubt all of you are very eager to hear who our finalists are. We will be calling you shortly.
We are now starting to look for candidates for 2010. The requirements and information needed is listed below.
Oklahoma Film & Education Foundation internships are designed to give qualified fulltime students (undergraduate and graduate) pursuing degrees at colleges and universities in the United States in-depth exposure to professional film production, techniques and practices. Students who have completed college or graduate school prior to December 31, 2009 ARE NOT eligible. Seniors who are graduating in 2010 ARE eligible to apply.
Administrative and/or production duties will be assigned to all interns; however, collective bargaining agreements within the industry preclude some internships from "hands-on" experience in certain areas.
*ALL POSITIONS ARE FULL-TIME FOR 5 TO 8 WEEKS
The Oklahoma Film & Education Foundation pays a $4,000 stipend to each intern accepted into the program, which will be allocated every two weeks. Applicable payroll deductions are made from payments. Interns will be responsible for their own housing, transportation, and living expenses.
All Oklahoma Film & Education Foundation internships are located in the Edmond area. Interns must have a car for transportation. In most cases, it is not possible to rent a car without incurring a surcharge if you are under the age of 25. In all cases, a major credit card is required for rental.
